Ajax's director of football relations, Marc Overmars, has resigned after the Dutch club said he sent "a series of improper communications to many female employees."
The former Arsenal and Barcelona winger will leave "with immediate effect," according to an Ajax statement.
The 48-year-old has been in the position since 2012, and his contract had just been extended to June 2026.
Overmars said that he was "ashamed" of his actions and that they were "unacceptable."

Overmars told Ajax's website, "Last week I was presented with complaints regarding my behavior and how this has come across to others."
"Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was crossing the line with this until recently, but it was made plain to me." Please accept my apologies.
"This behavior is certainly improper for someone in my position." I see it now, but it's too late. I don't think I have any other choice except to leave Ajax."
